Martina Vecchietti

Pre-K Teacher

Hi I’m Martina, Italian, I have been living in Costa Rica since 2017.

I studied Pedagogical Education and graduated in Education and Childhood Science with specializations in child psychomotor and autism.

After years of professional experience with the classical education system, I was looking for an approach that really valued and respected children.

I believe all children are born with the means for knowledge, and that a teacher’s task is to guide and inspire that knowledge.

In recent years, I have focused my professional experience on the Montessori and Reggio Emilia Approach.

My goal as a teacher this year is to help her children be independent and to give them respect and love.

I love to immerse myself in nature … sea, mountains, I love the sun, the moon and everything that positively recharges my energies. I live here in Costa Rica with my small family: my partner, my son and our beloved dog.

US accredited, Journey School of Costa Rica’s central tenants continue to be kindness, empathy, compassion and academic excellence. We work closely with Cognia, PBL Works, REGGIO Children and Conscious Discipline.
