A New approach to elementary

In the K-5 classrooms, students are placed in groups that allow them to build the essential elements of modern day learning, this includes reading, writing, math, science, technology, and the arts. Our Team of Teachers will intentionally create environments to foster creativity and communication skills as the student begins to become a lifelong learner.

For a lifelong love of learning

Elementary years are crucial, not only for the rapid and vital learning that happens but also because of the life-long social and emotional patterns that require nurturing to be positively defined.

Through daily morning circles and weekly advisory periods, students in the Elements Program learn tenants of community building and non-violent communication

Our Low Student to Teacher Ratio

Students are grouped by age and move together through a diversity of classes and electives. Our low student to teacher ratio allows us to truly individualize each student’s experience in order to challenge them appropriately.

The Elements Program curriculum comprises of the following interdisciplinary subject areas: learning strategies, both English and Spanish language arts, math, science lab, world studies, and the inclusion of daily electives.

US accredited, Journey School of Costa Rica’s central tenants continue to be kindness, empathy, compassion and academic excellence. We work closely with Cognia, MEP, REGGIO Children and Conscious Discipline.
